1EdTech Europe is the governing body for 1EdTech members based in Europe.

We share the core global mission to build an integrated foundation of open standards that makes educational technology work better for everyone. Our standards lower costs, give buyers choice, protect data and privacy, and make analytics work across products.

1EdTech Europe fits global standards to European needs by aligning with European models and frameworks and incorporating European regulation into our verification and certification.

1EdTech members headquartered in a Council of Europe member state form our governing body: the General Assembly (GA). Other members with a legal entity in Europe can apply to join the GA and engage in our European work.

We’re developing national profiles of the OneRoster standard for secure data exchange in schools.

We’re ensuring that the Edu-API student data standard for HE is interoperable with any data based on the European Learning Model (ELM).

We're improving interoperability across the learning to work ecosystem by aligning with European Digital Credentials for Learning (EDC) and Europass.

This ensures Open Badges v3 for non-formal learning can be used both in Europe and internationally.
